It snowed- Kleenex stlye.

I should know by now never trust toddlers but I left them alone for about 2 minutes while I was in the bathroom. Here is what I saw when I came back.
You can see there was really one one perpetrator.
Who immediatley began cleaning up.

HEr sister pitched in to help.

It's just as much fun to put ehm back in as pull them out.

These pictures loaded backwards but here is what happens when Olivia "needs"a drink.
And because she is cute.

We were getting ready to go to the store. This what they do whenever the car starts. Aren't they cute? And yes their pants are too big. Their waists are small apparently.

A sweet night

We had a little pre -Valentines day party last Friday night. Our friends who have twins the same age came over and we had heart shaped pizzza and made sugar cookies. The girls had a fun time.

They were so excited when Ken brought the picnic table in. They had to set up. The red bowl in the drawer was out for candy to be put in. It never made it in it though. About a minute after the picture was taken it crashed to the ground and broke. No more pretty candy bowl. What was I thinking?

They all did a pretty good job of eating and staying in their seats. They seemed so proud to be eating at their own table.
Of course the cookies were the highlight of the night- mostly the frosting. I thought they could decorate them with candy but that didn't happen. Lots and lots of licking did instead. What a fun memory.

Here is my tired Makenna. After the cookie mess was cleaned up she grabbed my hand led me to her room and pointed to her crib. That was a first.

Are you trying to tell me something girls?

Yesterday when I was getting ready the girls decided to climb in the tub to play.

How do you turn this on?
She put this in her mouth not once but twice.

Soap isn't very good.

So sick of being sick..

Most of the month of January the girls were sick with the flu. It went on and on.Tehy would seem to get better for a couple days and then come back. The last week of January we were at our 18 month appointment when we found out Olivia had last a pound in 1 week. She was acting very lethargic and had thrown up in the parking lot. The dr. sent us to the hospital for blood work which showed she was dehydrated and he recommended we admit her so she could get rehydrated. Her urine test initially showed bacteria but after they redid it with catheter urine it was clean. She was only there 24 hours. I took these pictures in the morning, after she was feeling better. Shortly after she realized where she was and was immedietly unhappy again. She was not fond of the hospital. At least they were able to put the IV in her hand this time instead of her head.
We were lucky that Makenna was able to avoid getting dehydrated. I think that we are finally past this awful bug.

Bubble Baths

The girls have been sick the last few weeks. Once they got over the colds we started with stomach flu that has gone on and on and on. So now we are off dairy for a week hoping that does it. So given that they have been extra smelly they have been taking lots of baths. Their dad has perfected how to get the maximum amoung of bubbles in the tub. They have been good sports and handle being sick pretty well...

Soo big..

The girls turned 18 months last Tuesday. We all had colds and were miserable so I didn't even realize it until the day was almost over. They went to nursery for the first time together on Sunday. They had both "visited" before but not at the same time. They were fine. Ken and I walked them in and walked out. The nursery person was worried about telling them apart but we tried to point out their differences but I don't know if she had the right girl with the right name or not. I will have to dress them differently next week- I hadn't thought about that. I waited outside the door thinking one of them might care that it shut with us on the other side but they didn't. The only tears came when they brought Makenna for a diaper change and she wanted a treat out of the diaper bag that I wouldn't let her have. Once I took her back to nursery and distracted her she was fine. I hope it goes as smoothly every week.

And thanks to Grandpa Ted for finding the dress for Olivia.

Beep! Beep!

My parents got the girls these cute cars for Christmas and they love them. They cry to go outside every morning. It's been cold the last couple days so we haven't gone out and they get so mad. They kept my dad busy out there pushing them the last few days he was here.We waited to put them together until the weather was better ans so they wouldn't be overwhelmed with new things. They haven't figured out how to go forward but can go in reverse on their own. At least I'll get a work out pushing them around for awhile.
