Christmas Morning
The girls enjoyed Christmas morning. Santa brought them a kitchen which they both loved. Makenna kept "ohhing" every minute or so. She was so excited to see all the drawers and doors. Olivia liked carrying the food around. Olivia also liked opening the presents. Makenna was just happy to see what was inside. We were so happy to have grandma and grandpa Thompson here with us. Makenna put grandpa in charge of holding all the "babies". He wasn't allowed to put them down for most of the day. We were grateful that several people bought the girls gifts just because. It was a great day and I will remember it forever.

Joe's Wedding
Ken's Brother Joe got married last weekend. It was a really nice receprion. I didn't take pictures since I was busy chasing my 2 girls. Here is a family picture that was taken. Ken's mom made the cute dresses.
Introducing Joe and Ellen Peeples.

And here are some pictures Ken's other brother Craig took of the girls and us. I just wanted to rub in the nice sunny weather. Although it has been cold and rainy the last few days but I don't want to trade for snow so I won't complain to much.

Knotts Berry Farm
We took the girls to Knotts Berry Farm the second week in December. Ken's parents were here and were able to go with us.We had a lot of fun. One of our first stops was to see Santa. I had hoped to get their picture there since Ken had gotten it done there last year. The girls did not like that idea.

We rode a few rides. Ken and his dad rode the Xcelerator. I was too chicken. The girls did really well considering they had no nap. They loved the Charlie Brown Christmas show but wanted nothing to do with Snoopy ( He was dressed as Santa). Makenna actually ran away from him and was looking over her shoulder to make sure he wasn't following her.

Of course our Favorite part was Mrs. Knotts Chicken dinner. It was so good. The girls (and there daddy) love the rhubarb. Thanks Grammy and Papa for the fund day!!!
We also stayed 2 nights at our timeshare in Anaheim and enjoyed it. The girls like all the space.

It's almost Christmas!
This year has flown by especially the last few months. These girls keep us busy.
here are just a few pics. You may notice when you get your Christmas Cards (yes they are coming) that our picture is a few months old. Here is why...
I hope everyone is enjoying the season. We are so thankful for our blessing and friends and family. It is going to be a wonderful holiday.

Grateful for my 2 little Turkeys
We ate Thanksgiving dinner at our friends the Vega's. The girls did pretty good eating. They loved the pumpkin pie- much to their dads chagrin. They couldn't get enough of it. Makenna went back to the table and got up on the chair and started eating the leftovers all by herself. She was determined to eat it all. Olivia wasn't going to just watch. She got herself a chair too but had to settle for sharing daddy's chocolate pie.
It has been a year now since the girls were blessed and I have thought about it often this weekend, I am so thankful for them and the gifts they bring with their smiles and laughs, and even their tantrums although it pretty hard to be thankful for those but without them my life would be so quiet.

Halloween Night
For Halloween we did go "trick or treating" but only to a few houses of people from our ward and neighbors. The girls had fun. Makenna especially. She was not shy at all and would walk right up to the doorways by herself. Olivia didn't ever warm up to it. She preferred her daddy's arms. We also learned that they don't like riding in their wagon at night and had to either carry them or hold their hand while they walked.
Before we went out we went to eat at Chic- Fil- A because we were already in Oxnard buying diapers ( what glamorous lives we lead ). I like going there because it is family oriented and on Friday's kids meals are free. The fact that they have really good waffle fries may also play a small role.
The quality isn't great on these pictures. I put the camera on night mode and that is how they came out. Someday I will learn to use my camera correctly.
Pumpkin Carving
Here we are more pictures of my cute girls and hubby.
We went to a pumpkin carving party my friend had. It was really fun. I had never been to a pumpkin carving party/contest before. Ken did the carving. I tried to help with design but I didn't do a very good job. So let's just way we didn't win any prizes. I may have gained 10 lbs from eating cheese dip and the girls had a great time mooching crackers and pizza all night.

Pumpkin Patch
We have been so busy lately we weren't able to go to the pumpkin patch until the day before Halloween ( well- we did try but it was a disaster so we won't talk about). We went to the McGrath family farm in Somis. It is a fun place and the girls really liked it. They loved the animals and playing in the hay. Makenna was fascinated with the animals. Olivia took handfuls of hay and filled the cab of a toy tractor with it. We hope to go back and actually feed the animals soon- we had to go home for naptime.
