Family visits

I'm still figuring this whole blog thing out- sorry the pictures are out of order

We were so excited to have Joe and his future bride Ellen and also Erin and her roommate come to visit us. We all got together Friday and went to lunch at the Ventura Pier. Then at night the adults went to the Hollywood Bowl. Saturday we met Erin and Amanda at the beach. I didn't get many pictures( bad camera day).  The girls did not like the sand or ocean very much but had fun splashing water in their pails.

We all met for dinner later at Wood Ranch. It was yummy. Makenna has figured out that it is more fun to be out of the highchair than in it so I think our eating out days are numbered.

Summer's over?

We just got started- playing outside that is. Finally, we had sunshine this week so I got the pool and water table they got for their birthday out and they finally got to wear their swimsuits.

We had a good time playing outside this week. They couldn't stay away from the dog food though- silly girls!

Olympics 2008

We were excited to watch the Olympics this year- or at least attend a Olympic party that had yummy Chinese food.  Our friends the Vega's have a very nice new backyard complete with tv and fireplace. The girls had fun socializing although they weren't big fans of the Chinese food. I guess they didn't inherit their mom's love of egg rolls(yet).

Here is Olivia who walks everywhere now but 2 weeks ago she was just starting to.

(By the way- does anybody know how to turn pictures on these blogs- I fix it in iphoto but it doesn't help)

I couldn't find a smiley picture of Makenna. She was crawling everywhere that night. Right now she is getting all 4 top teeth at once.

Saturday the girls and I attended a birthday party for our friends from the twins club. 

the girls weren't real fond or the cake. They liked the frosting though.

Both girls can climb on their ride on toys now. But they are still learning to make them "go"-luckily they have a daddy who will push them. And make the motor noise.

Makenna is a expert climber these days.

Do I look guilty??

Somehow Olivia was able to get the can of Pringles from the counter while I was busy changing Makenna's diaper. As soon as I came around the corner she started picking them back up and putting them in the can-. As you can see she was happy to pose for the camera.

Makenna was "airing out" she had a bad diaper rash but had to get in on the action.

The girls had spaghetti for the first time. They liked it. 

They also thought the tomato sauce would be good for their faces.
