Easter Egg Hunt

These are from the Easter Egg hunt our church had. They started with making the cute necklaces they are wearing. Then the hunt. Olivia was excited about picking up eggs. Makenna took a minute to figure it out. Our primary is pretty small right now. There were maybe 15 kids so there were plenty of eggs for everyone.

I can't get over how big they looked that day. They are losing that baby look.

Feeding Goats

The first Sunday of the month was Conference. While I enjoyed listening to the words of the church leaders (in between the chaos  of my two daughters), Makenna and Olivia weren't that into it and so once the last session ended ( which I mostly enjoyed in peace- yay naptime) I took them to feed the goats. SUndays get long since Ken is at work and we don't have family to visit. The girls ( mom included ) get restless. So this was our little adventure.

Makenna was quite brave and would walk right up to the goats and hand them the carrots- brought from home ( shhh- don't tell on me- I didn't buy the farmer market ones).

But she was quick to back away once the goat took it.
This was as close as Olivia wanted to be at first.
She later warmed up to putting the carrot in the tube.

And I call this the- "I am not going to smile and you can't make me "- picture.

First Ponies!!

After much wrestling ( and ok some bribing) the girls let me put pony tails in their hair. They left them in for a few hours. It was a small victory in the battle of the hair. With 2 girls it really is just starting. Oh boy!

How is it April already?

I can not believe how fast March went by. A few weeks ago it started to be warmer and we were able to break out short sleeves. The girls love to be outside and especially like to drive their cars. Actually they like to push them around more than drive them. We are out there almost daily at least once. 

Another then & now

Here are pictures from the park 1 year ago today.

I admit I haven't taken any pictures of the girls the last couple weeks. Somehow we lost the memory card for Ken's camera and my battery was dead. It is charged now so I will do better this week. Some of you may have seen the pictures Ken took at the park  a few weeks ago but I thought I would put them on her for those that didn't.

I love this picture. This day I was at the dentist and Ken was in charge of getting them dressed. He did pretty good. This is at the park next to the library in Thousand Oaks. Since then we have gone back twice. I love that park. When Ken went he forgot bread to feed the ducks but when I have taken them we have fed the ducks. I must admit it is so fun. I don't know if it brings back memories of the days I would go to the "greenbelt" in Idaho Falls or i it is just seeing the girls enjoy it but if we lived closer  I think we would go every day.

Our first trip to the Zoo

We went to the Santa Barbara zoo last week. We were going there as a way of celebrating my birthday( a day early). 

Free Pancake Day

Last week IHOP had free pancakes so we went. Ken walked with the girls and Candy. I drove because my tooth was hurting and I needed to go get my prescriptions. The girls loved the pancakes. I think Makenna ate 2 all by herself. It was a lot of fun.
