We have been so busy lately we weren't able to go to the pumpkin patch until the day before Halloween ( well- we did try but it was a disaster so we won't talk about). We went to the McGrath family farm in Somis. It is a fun place and the girls really liked it. They loved the animals and playing in the hay. Makenna was fascinated with the animals. Olivia took handfuls of hay and filled the cab of a toy tractor with it. We hope to go back and actually feed the animals soon- we had to go home for naptime.

My Pumpkins
Saturday was the CVMOM trunk or treat. The girls had a pretty good time. I think they were a little bewildered by the whole thing . They got hot by the end. It ended up being around 80 degrees that day. Makenna did good going from car to car.Olivia was less sure about the whole thing. They both loved the suckers.

Our trip to Pismo Beach
We went last week to Pismo Beach to "camo" in our trailer. I say "camp" because we stayed at a RV village that had full hook ups -so we weren't really roughing it. The girls did great. They slept well and loved having playmates. We went with our friends the Conrads. We had a great time. Pismo is so beautiful and the weather was great.

Olivia's new trick
I just have to brag about what Olivia started doing today. On Ken's work days I try to stay on the living room side of the house so Ken can sleep so after I changed Olivia's diaper on the living room floor she got up and took the diaper. I followed her to see what she was doing and she threw it away in the trash can. I couldn't believe it- I guess she has just been watching me do it.
It was so cute and I am so proud of her.
I have no pictures of the event because my camera is currently lost. I think I know where it is but I can't get to it.

Vegas Pics
For the final leg of our trip we spent the weekend in Vegas. We met up with some other moms from the twin message board. We went to the Shark Reef Aquarium and The Rainforest Cafe to eat. I actually walked up to the hostess and asked for 8 adults and & 7 high chairs- the hostess lady said I don't think we have 7 high chairs but they ended up finding some. When we were leaving a set of triplets was seated near the door so they must have a secret high chair storage.
We had a good time meeting. I've been talking to 2 of these mom's online since we were pregnant. We stayed at our timeshare and left Sunday night.
Here we are looking at the fish.

Rick's Wedding
My brother Rick married the sweetest girl- Callie. They had a beautiful wedding. We rode wagons to the river bank near Blackfoot. It really was a place cows graze but for a while that day it was sacred ground. It was a very nice ceremony - what I got to hear in between chasing girls and making sure they didn't take a unscheduled swim.
Makenna and her daddy- She loves being on his shoulders.

Our trip/First plane ride
We're going on the plane!
We are home again. The girls were so thrilled to be back in their own house and sleep in their own beds. We had a nice trip. The flying parts were stressful and we aren't planning on doing that again anytime soon. We loved seeing family and meeting new and old friends. The last two days of our trip were in Vegas , where we met up with some of my "twin message board' friends. Ken's college roommate, Doug, also met up with us at the airport.
Of course ,the highlight of the trip was Rick's wedding. It was also the reason for the trip.
There are so many pictures I will have to break them up but I'll start with the girls first airplane ride.
